Starting at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT) this Friday, August 8, you will earn double faction for participating in Alliance Battles. This bonus will last through 11:59 PM (-7 GMT) Pacific time on Sunday, August 10.

i swear we had one like 2 months ago... And the fort aspenwood one the other week. Does anet realise that Hff would still be more productive even if they made it 10 times more faction lol.. Meh well a break for the luxons i guess.

Wheres the heroes ascent weekends at anyhoo? it needs livening up a little round there

I've just started ABing again, so this is a more-than-welcome weekend (as long as the wait times aren't that bad - they did pretty good last QB weekend). Rank 7, here I come...

I'm kinda gettin back into AB, and could always use a higher Luxon title. Only r2 right now.

Sounds to me like this weekend will be either completely awesome with the coming update, or completely horrible.

As I said in the other thread, Luxon/Kurzick faction should be removed from AB and obtainable only via PvE, with no repeatable quests, exactly like all other PvE titles.

Not so difficult to understand why ...

Worst idea ever and doesn't do anything to fix the imba HFFF and extreme prejudice against the luxons that is implicitly evident in everything Anet does.

False, it will fix, I repeat what I wrote:

Actually, the rewards are PvE-only skills, amber/jadeite, scrolls and gold, all things strictly PvE related, not usable in PvP.
It's exactly the same as LB, SS and EoTN titles.
AB already gives Balthazar points, which are the real PvP rewards.

Therefore, the solution is:

1. remove all points gained via AB, and don't give any more Luxon/Kurzick faction for AB (AB already gives Balthazar, which are PvP);

2. make Luxon/Kurzick faction obtainable ONLY via PvE, exactly like LB/SS and all EOTN titles;

3. remove the repeatable quests;

4. make the titles character related and not account wide;

5. reduce the amount of faction required to max them to a value comparable to EOTN titles.

No more repeatable quests aka HFFF, just bounties like SS/LB and EOTN.
